DL Media received certification as an official Woman-Owned Business Enterprise

DL Media received certification as an official Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) from the State of Missouri Office of Administration. The Office of Equal Opportunity notified DL Media of this status valid through October 11, 2019. To qualify for WBE status a woman must have necessary expertise, own at least 51 percent of an enterprise, manage and control daily operations and be a U.S. citizen or a lawfully admitted permanent resident.

DL Media has been a woman-owned business for nearly twenty years, but applying for and receiving WBE certification allows them to bid on state contracts, appear on the Office of Equal Opportunity Directory of Certified WBE Vendors and be solicited by contractors and state agencies interested in championing female participation. Furthermore, under Missouri executive order 05-30, all state agencies are directed to continue to make every feasible effort to target the percentage of goods and services procured from WBEs to five percent.

“While I believe we all strive to do exceptional work, I appreciate the acknowledgement of the unique challenges woman-owned businesses face,” says Dianne Davis, owner of DL Media. “I look forward to the additional opportunities WBE certification will provide.”
